Jon Woodward to help with the transition as this search takes place.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – 7hills Homeless Center has launched a national search to fill the position of executive director. Current Executive Director, Jon Woodward has been running the organization from Florida since 2011, when his wife took a new position with her employer in Tampa. Woodward will remain with the organization as a consultant to help lead a transition team to assist the new CEO.
“On behalf of the directors, staff, clients and supporters of 7hills, I want to express our deep appreciation for the commitment, energy and enthusiasm Jon Woodward has invested as our executive director,” said Kevin Fitzpatrick, president of the 7hills Board of Directors.
During Woodward’s almost seven-year tenure, 7hills and its programs became a statewide model for organizations dealing with the growing problem of homelessness in a tough economy. Woodward built a talented staff of professionals who manage the day-to-day business of an organization whose workload has more than tripled in the past four years. Woodward’s efforts have greatly expanded 7hills’ funding and program offerings, and he has received millions of dollars in federal funding to make possible an expansion of 7hills’ services.
Under the supervision of the Board of Directors, Woodward will continue with the organization as a consultant while a new executive director transitions into the leadership position of the organization.
“Jon will be a tough act to follow, but he has put a strong and smart organization together and I am confident we will find a replacement that can fill his very big shoes,” Fitzpatrick said.
